Permits

Designate more required permit fields for a jurisdiction

Good news! We have heard quite often that you would like to be able to require the applicant's email address be filled out on a permit application - and now that is possible! You can also decide if any of these fields below should be required on internal (permit applications entered by a permit tech) or external (permit applications entered by a contractor or community member) applications:

  • Applicant phone
  • Owner name
  • Owner address
  • Owner email
  • Owner primary phone
  • Description of work
  • Applicant email

Please fill out this quick form to make any updates to these fields for your jurisdiction.

Please keep in mind: If you designate any of these fields as required for your applicants to fill out before submitting an application, it will be required on all permit types for the jurisdiction.

For building inspections

View documents while resulting an inspection

In this latest release of InspectorConnect, building inspectors can view permit documents without having to navigate away from the task details or resulting screens. Now, from the task details or resulting screen, you can open a permit document in a new browser tab and then use the app switcher to quickly go back to InspectorConnect after viewing the document.
