1/29/24: What's new in CommunityCore & CommunityConnect?
Every two weeks, we release improvements to our systems and highlight what is new for you. The latest changes were deployed over the weekend. You don't need to do anything to see these updates in CommunityCore.
TL;DR (βToo Long; Didnβt Readβ)
In CommunityCore
- π Quickly download or email system-generated documents from the workflow
- π§ Automatically receive an email notification every time a workflow step is assigned to you. You can unsubscribe from these emails too. π
In CommunityConnect
- π Contractors and Community Members can access permits and other documents right from the permits grid or workflow in CommunityConnect.
CommunityCore
System-Generated Documents from the Workflow
This feature is available in Permit, Planning, and Business License Workflows.
Now, when a document has automatically been generated (like the permit document, inspection card, certificate of completion, certificate of occupancy, etc), you can quickly access those documents without leaving the workflow. You can download them with the click of a button or email them too!
Automatic Email Notifications When Workflow Step Assigned to You
Now, by default, when any active workflow step is assigned to you, you will receive an email notification. Before, these notifications were set up by request only and, by default, were not automatically sent to assigned users.
The email looks like this:
How to unsubscribe from these notifications
If you find yourself getting more emails than are helpful, you can always unsubscribe from these email notifications and just check your "My Work" tabs in CommunityCore!
There will also be a link to unsubscribe in the email notification you receive.
For quick access to the Email Subscription settings, follow this link.

CommunityConnect
Quick Access to Permit Documents
We are making it easier for users (community members and contractors) in CommunityConnect to access system-generated documents. Now, they can access documents related to a permit from the permits grid and from the permit workflow.

Share this guide with community members and contrators that have access to CommunityConnect for more information on accessing documents.
