Allow a contractor to apply for a permit online
Before you can allow a contractor access to CommunityConnect, they must be setup as a contracting in CommunityCore. To add a contracting company, follow these steps.
In Contractors, open the contracting company that you want to give permission to apply for permits online.
Add a check in the box by next to Can apply for Online Permits.
If you don't check Can apply for Online Permits, the contracting company will be able to view their permits online, but won't be able to apply for additional permits in CommunityConnect.
Authorized online users
Add individual contractors (who will have access to CommunityConnect) as Authorized Online Users:
When you add a Authorized Online User to a company, they will automatically receive an email, giving them access to CommunityCore. They will need to click on the link in the email within 8 days to activate their account. If they do not receive an email, please guide them to check their spam/other/junk folders.
