Article summary

Every two weeks, we release improvements to our systems and highlight what is new for you. The latest changes were deployed over the weekend. You don't need to do anything to see these updates in CommunityCore.

TL;DR (“Too Long; Didn’t Read”)

With these CommunityCore updates, now you can:

  • Customize the Permit and Project screens so you can see the information that is most beneficial to you
  • Sort columns on the Inspections screen
  • Choose Expired as a new project status
  • Choose to view more info on the Plan Reviews screen: We added two new column options to the grid: Description of Work and Scope of Work

New Daily Email Option
Also, we are offering a new option to email all inspection results for a jurisdiction at the end of the day. If you would like to set this up for any email address(es), please fill out this form.

🔐 Starting now, new in CommunityCore:

To keep the system secure and eliminate the opportunity for compromised sessions, if you are away from (or inactive in) CommunityCore for four hours or more, you will automatically be logged out of your account. When you get back, simply log in and you will be taken back to where you left off in CommunityCore.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to prioritize security.

Customization options for Permit and Project screens

In this update, we are giving you the ability to customize more screens. Now, you can customize which columns you see or hide on the Permit and Project screens. You can also:

  • Reorder columns
  • Resize columns
  • Sort
  • Filter

These new options are also available to you in permit documents and project documents:

Sort columns on the Inspections screen

You can now sort the Inspectors, Addresses, Scheduled, and Permit Type columns on the Inspections screen, by clicking the column header, like this:

New status added for Projects: Expired

For Projects, we added a new status option: Expired. You can change the status of a Project to Expired as long as there are no open submittals on the project. With this new option, you can also change the status back from Expired to In Progress.

Description of work and/or scope of work on Plan Review grid

To give you more context on a plan review, on the Plan Reviews screen, you can choose to show the Description of Work (for a permit) and/or Scope of Work (for a job).
