Article Summary

Every two weeks, we release improvements to our systems and highlight what is new for you. The latest changes were deployed over the weekend. You don't need to do anything to see these updates in CommunityCore. To take advantage of the new features in InspectorConnect 3.0, please make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.

TL;DR (“Too Long; Didn’t Read”)

With these updates in CommunityCore, now you can:

  • Save plan comment or plan approval letters to Documents and share with contractors and community members in CommunityConnect
  • Easily indicate that a document is a final approved plan
  • Choose to hide inspection documents when viewing documents in a permit
  • Rename individual documents that were uploaded in bulk
  • View fees due for each contractor on the Contractor page

In InspectorConnect, now you can:

  • Search and edit open code enforcement cases
  • See inspection names when swiping through multiple inspections on a stop

Additional plan comment and plan approval letter options

In permits or projects, when a plan review is not approved and requires a resubmittal, now you can easily email, download/print or save the plan comment letter to documents.

Share plan approval or comment letters with external users

When plan comment or plan approval letters are saved to documents, they will also be available to contractor or community members in CommunityConnect, unless you uncheck the "External" option.

Approved plans noted

We made it easier to find the final approved plans in documents. Now, when you are uploading or after you have uploaded final approved plans, you can mark the file as Approved Set.

By default, the final approved plans will be at the top of the documents list and will be indicated with a new icon.

Hide inspection documents

For those times when you need to look at permit and plan review documents without seeing documents related to the inspections, we have created an easy way to filter inspection files out.

Rename bulk uploaded documents

If you upload multiple documents at a time, now you have the option to rename the individual files while uploading.

Contractor fees due

We added a new column to the contractor grid that will allow you to quickly see outstanding fees due by contractor. If the contracting company is listed as the primary contractor on a permit, any permit fees due will show here.
