In CommunityCore and InspectorConnect 3.0, you can update the violation type on a complaint (not a case).

Cases, complaint, open complaint by clicking case number.png

Open violation, violations, click violation type.png

Pass or fail a code violation complaint.png

Select the new violation type when passing or failing a complaint.
Pass complaint, change violation type modal.png

You can also update a violation type when failing a violation.
