    Edit document name, document type, or notes

    When you edit a permit document, you can:

    • Edit the document name
    • Change the document type
    • Add/edit notes to give more "at a glance" context to a document
    • Share External: Choose to share the document with an external user (contractor or community member)

    Why change the document type?

    If a document was uploaded as a permit document, you can easily associate it with a plan review and specific submittal. When you do this, the document will be available within the plan review as well as in the uploaded documents area.
